Data and Intelligence Concept

The Realization: Raw Data is Free, But Intelligence is Scarce

In the early 2020s, I realized a paradox: the world was drowning in data but starving for intelligence. NASA, the WHO, and the USGS were providing incredible public signals about our planetearthquakes, outbreaks, and climate shifts. Yet, most organizations lacked the multi-million dollar GIS infrastructure required to make sense of it. GlobMaps was born from a simple question: What if we built the intelligence layer that the world already owns, but cannot yet use?

1. Closing the Infrastructure Gap

Every organization is exposed to planetary risk, but very few have the data science teams to normalize fragmented public signals. We built GlobMaps to be that "infrastructure-as-a-service." Our mission wasn't to own the data, but to build a proprietary scoring layer that turns raw signals into a clean 0–100 risk score that any developer can integrate in under three seconds.

2. API-First: Democratizing Spatial Insights

We believe that your ability to protect your community or your supply chain shouldn't depend on the size of your GIS budget. By adopting an API-first philosophy, we removed the barriers of six-month on-boardings and complex software deployments. One API key now provides access to 10+ event types across 180 countriesleveling the playing field for startups and NGOs alike.

Engineering and Science Team

3. Founder-Built, Platform-Scaled

From the first line of code in Phatthalung to our global deployment in 2026, GlobMaps has remained true to its "Founder-Built" DNA. We are a lean team of engineers and scientists obsessed with precision. We don't just provide maps; we provide the "Planetary Nervous System" that allows organizations to act with empathy and cultural awareness in times of crisis.

Conclusion: Our Commitment to the Future

The journey of GlobMaps is just beginning. As we face a century of unprecedented climate volatility, our commitment remains clear: to provide the high-fidelity spatial models required for a more resilient world. We built GlobMaps because we believe that when everyone has access to the truth of the planet, we all make better decisions for humanity.
