GlobMaps Climate Intelligence provides climate data, including historical weather patterns, flood risk indices, drought indicators, and related datasets ("Climate Data"), accessible via API and web Dashboard.
Climate Data is provided for informational and research purposes only. It does not constitute certified forecasting, engineering advice, disaster preparedness guidance, or any form of professional opinion. You must not rely solely on Climate Data for decisions involving safety, insurance underwriting, financial investment, infrastructure planning, or any purpose requiring certified professional analysis. The Operator expressly disclaims any responsibility for decisions made based on Climate Data.
The Operator does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or upgrades may cause temporary unavailability. The Operator will endeavor to provide advance notice of planned downtime.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it updated. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key and login credentials. You must notify the Operator immediately at privacy@globmaps.com if you become aware of unauthorized access to your account.
Each user may maintain only one free-tier account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits is prohibited.
The Service is not available to persons located in or ordinarily resident in Cambodia. By accessing the Service, you confirm you are not located in Cambodia.
The Service is offered on a subscription basis, including free, individual pro, and bundled per-peril access tiers. Current plans, pricing, features, and included usage limits are described at climate.globmaps.com/pricing. Prices are in USD and are subject to change with 30 days' written notice by email.
3.2.1 You may access the Service under a Free Tier plan at no charge. No credit card or payment information is required to activate or maintain a Free Tier account.
3.2.2 Free Tier Usage Limits. Free Tier accounts are subject to the following hard limits:

Exceeding these limits will result in throttling or a 429 Too Many Requests error. Monthly limits reset on the first day of each calendar month (UTC+7).
3.2.3 You may upgrade to a paid subscription plan at any time through your account dashboard via Stripe self-serve checkout — no sales call required.
3.2.4 Commercial Resale Prohibited (Free Tier). Free Tier accounts may not be used for commercial resale of Climate Data or API access. You may not: (a) package, resell, sublicense, or redistribute raw Climate Data to third parties as a commercial product; (b) operate a service whose primary commercial value derives from Free Tier Climate Data; or (c) create multiple Free Tier accounts to circumvent limits. Academic, research, and personal non-commercial use are expressly permitted under Sections 4.1 and 5.5.
3.2.5 The Operator reserves the right to modify Free Tier usage limits or discontinue Free Tier access with at least 30 days' written notice by email.
Paid subscriptions are processed via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method. All payments are non-refundable except as stated in Section 3.5.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time through your account dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
If you experience a verifiable service outage exceeding 24 consecutive hours within a billing month, you may request a pro-rated credit by contacting privacy@globmaps.com within 14 days. No other refunds are offered.
You are responsible for all applicable taxes in your jurisdiction arising from your use of the Service.
You may use the Service for personal research, educational projects, software development, data analysis, and non-commercial or commercial projects consistent with these Terms.
You may not:
API calls are subject to the rate limits of your subscription tier. Excessive usage that degrades service for other users may result in temporary throttling without notice.
The Service, software, documentation, and underlying methodology are the intellectual property of the Operator. These Terms do not grant you any ownership interest.
Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, the Operator grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service during your subscription period.
You retain ownership of any analyses, models, or outputs you create using Climate Data, provided they do not constitute mere reproductions of the raw dataset.
When publishing research or public-facing analyses based on Climate Data, you agree to attribute "GlobMaps Climate Intelligence (globmaps.com)" as the data source.
Users on any subscription tier (including Free Tier) may use Climate Data for academic research, educational projects, and non-commercial scholarly publications, including citation, dataset excerpt publication (with attribution per Section 5.4), and methodology reference at climate.globmaps.com/methodology/drought. These rights apply to non-commercial scholarly work only; commercialized outputs are subject to Sections 3.2.4 and 4.2.

The Service and Climate Data are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement.
The Operator does not warrant that Climate Data is error-free, current, or suitable for any specific application. Historical climate data reflects conditions during recorded periods and may not accurately represent future events.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Thai law:
7.1 The Operator's total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to the Operator in the three (3) months preceding the claim.
7.2 The Operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill.
7.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, to the extent such limitation is prohibited by Thai law.
The Operator acts as the Data Controller of your personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA) of the Kingdom of Thailand. Contact for data-related matters: privacy@globmaps.com.
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at climate.globmaps.com/privacy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy describes what personal data we collect, how we use and store it, who we share it with, and your rights as a data subject.
For B2C individual users, the Operator processes your personal data on the basis of your explicit consent, provided by checking the consent checkbox at account registration. This consent is freely given, specific and informed, and unambiguous (the checkbox is unchecked by default and requires an affirmative action, per PDPA มาตรา 19).
Marketing communications are sent only if you have provided separate, optional consent via the marketing opt-in checkbox at signup or through account settings. This consent is independent of the consent required under Section 8.3.
Under the PDPA, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent for Service delivery will result in account termination. Contact privacy@globmaps.com; we respond within 30 days.
Personal data is retained for the duration of your account and thereafter as required by Thai law. Upon account termination or valid erasure request, personal data will be deleted or anonymized within 90 days, except as required by law.
9.1 These Terms are effective from the date you create an account and continue until terminated.
9.2 Termination by You. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting privacy@globmaps.com or using account settings. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as provided in Section 3.5.
9.3 Termination by Operator. The Operator may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if the Operator discontinues the Service. The Operator will endeavor to provide 30 days' notice for service discontinuation.
9.4 Effect of Termination. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends. The Operator will retain and delete your personal data as described in Section 8.6. Sections 5, 6, 7, 10, and 11 survive termination.
10.1 Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
10.2 Informal Resolution. Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact privacy@globmaps.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
10.3 Jurisdiction. Any dispute not resolved informally shall be submitted to the competent courts of Thailand. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory local consumer court rights, those rights are not affected.
11.1 Entire Agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and the Operator regarding the Service.
11.2 Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
11.3 Waiver. Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver.
11.4 Updates. The Operator may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be notified via email or prominent notice on the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
11.5 Language. These Terms are provided in English and Thai. In case of conflict, the Thai version prevails for Thai-resident users.
